Full Steam Staffing is hiring a Warehouse/Retail Associate in Fresno, CA!




Schedule: 1st (AM shift)

Pay Rate: $19/HR

Benefits through Full Steam Staffing: Medical, Dental, AD&D




Key Responsibilities

Retail / Counter Sales
  • Assist walk-in customers with product selection and purchases.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries, providing accurate quotes.
  • Prepare will-call orders and assist with returns and exchanges.
  • Accurately and promptly enter sales into the POS/ERP system.
  • Provide product and pricing information.
  • Support outside sales and account managers with order entry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers.
  • Proactively recommend solutions and products to meet customer needs.

Warehouse / Yard Operations
  • Pull and stage materials for customer orders and deliveries.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers;secure loads safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard.
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (training provided if needed).
  • Deliver products and materials to customer sites as required.

Inventory Control
  • Receive inbound shipments and verify against purchase orders.
  • Accurately process paperwork, matching POs and packing slips.
  • Tag, shelve, and barcode items in correct bin locations.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Conduct cycle counts and support overall inventory accuracy goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
  • 1 3 years in retail sales, customer service, or warehouse operations (preferred).
  • Experience in construction, irrigation, or industrial supply industries is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with POS and/or ERP systems (Sage, Acumatica, or similar preferred).
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, inventory systems).
  • Knowledge of barcoding, inventory control methods, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other equipment.
  • Other:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
