Salary: $70, 300 annually

We are seeking a Safety / Loss Prevention Supervisor to join our growing food distribution center team. This position is responsible for promoting a safe, secure, and compliant work environment while supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards, investigate incidents, and help reduce workplace injuries, product loss, and operational risk.
This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards, investigate incidents, and help reduce workplace injuries, product loss, and operational risk.
This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety policies, procedures, and OSHA compliance standards
- Conduct routine safety inspections, facility audits, and risk assessments throughout the distribution center
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses, and security incidents;complete detailed reports and corrective action plans
- Lead safety meetings, trainings, and employee coaching sessions on proper safety practices and warehouse procedures
- Partner with operations leadership to identify hazards and implement preventative measures
- Ensure proper usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe operation of warehouse equipment
- Support workers compensation case management and return-to-work programs
- Monitor building security, access control, and loss prevention practices to minimize theft, damages, and inventory shrink
- Maintain compliance records, safety logs, incident documentation, and audit reports
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills and support emergency response procedures
- Assist with food safety compliance initiatives and maintain sanitation/safety standards within the facility
- Collaborate with HR and management teams regarding policy enforcement and employee safety concerns
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in safety, loss prevention, security, or warehouse supervision preferred
- Experience within a food distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed incident reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk the warehouse floor for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including refrigerated environments if applicable
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and overtime as needed
