Job Responsibilities
- Assist supervisors with overseeing daily production activities and employees
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to production team members
- Help assign employees to workstations and production tasks
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and work performance
- Ensure production goals and daily targets are met
- Monitor employees to ensure company safety, quality, and production procedures are followed
- Assist with training and onboarding new employees
- Communicate production instructions, updates, and expectations to employees
- Monitor product quality and report issues to supervisors
- Identify production delays, equipment issues, or staffing concerns and communicate them to management
- Help maintain an efficient workflow throughout the production area
- Assist with resolving employee questions and basic workplace concerns
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation as required
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production employees, warehouse, quality, and maintenance teams
- Assist with enforcing company policies and procedures
- Perform general production duties as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous lead, team lead, supervisor, production, warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing experience is preferred
- Previous leadership or employee training experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide direction and effectively communicate with a diverse workforce
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify and resolve basic production issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow and enforce safety, quality, and production procedures
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to complete production records and documentation accurately
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
