Position Summary:
The Agricultural Equipment Parts Clerk is responsible for compiling information and records to
create purchase orders for procurement of farm equipment parts and supplies at the lowest cost
consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Controlling and
supplying parts to shop mechanics is critical to the maintenance of the farm shop, its tools and all
farming equipment. The clerk will keep an accurate inventory of all parts and is required to
maintain an organized, clean and safe parts room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Must comply and follow all GMP s, Workplace and Food Safety practices, and Company
policies.
- Compare suppliers invoices with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Verify the inventory level shown is accurate by performing cycle counts as assigned.
- Supply parts to mechanics when requested.
- Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
- Check shipments when they arrive to certify that order have been filled correctly and that
the goods and services meet specifications.
- Review requisitions to verify accuracy, terminology and specs.
- Compare the quantity and part numbers of goods against invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or
late deliveries or other problems.
- Respond to shop manager, supervisor and mechanic inquiries about order status, changes
or cancellations.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable

Education and/or Experience:
- 2 years of relevant experience preferably in purchasing and maintaining farm equipment
parts and inventory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively
with all levels of employees. Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); scanners, printers, copiers, fax
machines.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
