As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Job Description: As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in the production of irrigation equipment. You will work closely with our production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs to equipment, including but not limited to pumps, conveyors, motors, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect, clean, and lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain functionality and prolong lifespan.
- Diagnose electrical and pneumatic problems and work collaboratively with other team members to resolve issues.
- Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, using maintenance management software or logs.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Participate in training programs to stay current on maintenance techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
