Shift: 1st and 2nd shifts

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team at our pistachio processing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in the shelling, roasting, sorting, and packaging of pistachios, ensuring product quality and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust pistachio processing equipment (e.G., shellers, sorters, roasters, and packaging machines).
- Perform machine start-up, shut-down, and routine maintenance.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Load raw product into machinery and ensure continuous flow through processing lines.
- Clear jams, clean equipment, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Record production data and report any equipment malfunctions or quality concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to food safety standards (e.G., GMPs, HACCP).
- Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working in various warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures.
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and focus during repetitive tasks.
