SUMMARY:

The Loan Service Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Business Bankers, the Loan Services Manager and Loan Services Representatives, and requires a strong knowledge of loan processes, procedures, and compliance regulations commonly utilized within loan services. The position assists Business Bankers in setting up and maintaining credit files, compiling financial and collateral information, and ordering of loan documentation. The Loan Service Coordinator is also primarily responsible for monitoring, reporting and general oversight of the loan

portfolio.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following are typical responsibilities within the department for the Loan Service Coordinator. Actual assigned responsibilities may change from time to time and will be based on the overall needs of the department and Bank, as determined by the Chief Credit Officer.




Provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer service to internal and external customers. Utilize resources within the department to resolve customer problems and ensure that all customers receive an initial response on a same day basis.

Coordinate loan services activities and priorities with the Credit Administrator and/or Chief Credit Officer (as appropriate) and Loan Services Manager to maximize productivity and prioritize workflow, thereby ensuring a coordinated team effort within the department. Provide technical support, assistance and management as necessary to achieve assigned goals.

Assemble and audit the loan file to ensure adherence to Bank policy and underwriting guidelines to meet a variety of lending needs as offered by the Bank. Ensure that all terms and conditions outlined in the credit approval document are included and that all appropriate documents are included for the specific loan request to ensure that the Bank is adequately protected.

Log in all new loans and renewals according to loan type and assist in the gathering of information necessary for the underwriting process, such as legal documentation, credit reports, preliminary title reports, appraisals, or any other information required by policy or deemed necessary by Credit Administration.

Provide Loan Service Representatives with the information necessary to prepare loan documentation. Serve as the primary interface with Business Bankers should any questions arise concerning the loan request package.

Utilize internal and external resources and training to refine skills and master techniques in commercial, consumer, and government lending and loan compliance.

Pull UCC searches, property profiles, Business Credit Reports, & Personal Credit Reports, and properly reviewed by the Business Bankers.

Review Prelims, vesting, legal description, including property address and outstanding liens. Knowledgeable of title insurance knowledge of required endorsements, title and escrow procedures, construction draw endorsements, lien releases, In addition general know of as well as DMV title registration, Aircraft registration.

Knowledgeable in Letters of Credit, processing annual renewal with outside corresponding bank.

Assist with the collection of financials and loan documentation as it relates to the satisfaction of tickler items and other loan covenant requirements.

As directed, assist with coordinating construction loan inspections and construction

loan accounting.

Assist, as necessary, with the audit of Adverse Action documents to ensure that the files are adequately documented to adhere to Bank policy as it relates to Regulation B. Maintain records of issuance and destruction log. Prepare declined/withdrawn files for record retention. In addition to the above, this position is expected to be fully capable and willing to perform any loan processing function within the Loan Services Department and to be a key team player at all times. This position, as with all PVB employees, requires integrity and enthusiasm for the job.




ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide back-up support for other positions in Loan Services as assigned.

Participate in the training of all department employees.

Provide the highest level of customer service possible by following the guidelines specified by the Quality Customer Service Bank-wide Expectations program.

Meet compliance and other training deadlines.

Maintain a professional demeanor at community events and other activities where visible as a representative of the Bank.

Assist in controlling expenses in the areas pertaining to responsibilities.

It is the employee s responsibility to perform duties in accordance with federal & state banking laws and regulations, as well as Pacific Valley Bank s internal policies and procedures including BSA/AML, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Additionally, managers and supervisors are responsible for creating an environment in which they hold their employees accountable for the above.

Performs other ongoing duties or special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor or senior management.




EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Completion of 2 years of college and/or an AA degree along with 3-5 years banking experience required.

Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.

Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and core systems.

Strong working knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, and related compliance regulations.

Working knowledge of real estate, commercial and consumer loans & insurance.

Ability to train fellow employees as well as cross-train in other job functions.

Proficiency with standard office equipment: computer, typewriter, calculator, MICR encoder, fax machine.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
