Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $22-$32/HR




The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the functional role, reporting

relationships, requirements, authority, responsibilities, duties and standards of performance for

the Human Resource Generalist.




Summary:

The role of the Human Resource Generalist is to assist the Director of Human Resources in

regards to hiring, promoting, disciplining, or terminating subordinates within the respective

departments.




Other functions entail:

- Being the Safety Coordinator for the Company.

- Enforcing the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs.

- To assist in the following functional areas: departmental development, employee relations,

payroll, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and

employment.

- Supports the Company staff through the dealing with personnel issues.




Requirements:

Required: High School diploma with 4 plus years in Human Resource experience. Certification

or Course certificates in various Human Resource and HR Law programs

Preferred: BA in Human Resource Management.




Education:

Required: High School diploma with 4 plus years in Human Resource experience. Certification

or Course certificates in various Human Resource and HR Law programs

Preferred: BA in Human Resource Management.




Experience:

- A minimum of 4 years human resource experience in a company with over 200 employees.

- Experience working and dealing with employees from different backgrounds; recruiting,

hiring, processing, and orientations.

- Experienced in recruiting and employee development, familiar with all federal and state laws

and regulations, and in establishing departmental goals.

- Experience with human resources compliance issues, both state and federal.

- Experience working Workers Compensation issues.




Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of people from different

cultures, educational backgrounds and beliefs.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities, and complete projects from start

to finish.

- Need to be a self-starter, with the ability to work in a team environment.

- Knowledgeable in EEO, ADA, OSHA, HIPAA, COBRA, FLSA, FMLA, and all other

statutory guidelines.

- Must be familiar with current labor laws, regulations for hiring employees, alcohol and drug

testing procedures, and workers compensation guidelines.

- Strong interpersonal relations necessary.

- Must be knowledgeable of payroll regulations, processes and procedures.

- The position includes one on one interviewing and assess the individuals for employment,

work assignment and reviews all terminations.

- Ability to think strategically and to ensure that HR issues are addressed.

- Must be knowledgeable on Class A Driver Laws and Regulations

- Basic statistical and analytical business math skills, as well as good reading, writing and

spelling ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the English language on all

technical and business levels.

- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, databases

and presentation programs.
