Full Steam Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Stockton, CA!Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician monitors, maintains, and improves quality control systems to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements. This role provides oversight and training to help achieve departmental goals.The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven, with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills. This position requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and efficient demeanor.




Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00/HR

Schedule: Monday-Friday with possible OT on Saturdays;5: 30 AM - 2: 00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect facility and equipment prior to production start-up.
  • Conduct ATP and environmental swabbing on equipment to identify bacterial counts.
  • Calibrate thermometers and other measurement tools.
  • Perform N60 testing and GMP inspections.
  • Record CCP temperature data.
  • Complete QC daily checklists for all products packed.
  • Utilize systems such as Alchemy, PowerPoint, and written SOPs for documentation and training.
  • Assist the QC Supervisor in maintaining BRC standards, facilitating third-party audits, managing the school lunch program, and supporting additional projects as needed.
  • Ensure all employees follow prescribed quality and safety procedures.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols;report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Review emails and messages, prioritize workload, and respond promptly to inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain open communication with the QC Supervisor regarding activities, attendance, and potential issues.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Support other team members as needed to ensure departmental efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 2 years of experience in a food processing environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 5 years of experience in a food processing environment.
  • Experience in meat processing preferred.
  • Familiarity with scan guns and/or TI stations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, typing, and operating equipment.
  • Occasionally required to walk, reach, climb, bend, squat, or lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to focus visually at close and far distances.
Work Environment
  • Office environment: temperature controlled, quiet to moderate noise level.
  • Production floor: cool temperatures (30 50 F) and moderate to loud noise levels.
