Job Title: Weighmaster

Pay Rate: $17/hr.

Shift: TBD (Open to working overtime and weekends)

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D




Summary of Functions: Under general supervision, performs varied and increasingly responsible clerical work.




Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Ability to scale in trucks and provide proper documentation.
  2. Communicate with customers, employees and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and complaints.
  3. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.
  4. Compile, copy, sort and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities.
  5. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers.
  6. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and database systems, either manually or using a computer.




Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety, and General Safety rules and regulations.
  • Compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate food safety regulatory standards as well as company quality standards provided by facility, regional, and corporate quality authorities. 
  • Knowledge of Client's Food Safety Management System and its application in a processing environment.




Organization Relationships:
  • Reports directly to Office Manager.




Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Six months weighmaster experience preferred but not required.
  • Administrative and clerical procedures and systems, i.E. Word processing/computers, file management, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups, and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to operate 10 key calculator, photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.




Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.




Work Environment:
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Constant computer work.
