Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Department: Farming

Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Farm Shops Data Entry Clerk is responsible for reviewing and verifying purchase orders (POs) and work orders (WOs) for farm shop operations. This position ensures accurate and timely data entry into company databases and assists with inventory control, project support, and general clerical duties.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review, fact-check, and enter data into databases, including:
  • Time and materials for work orders
  • Materials from purchase orders
  • Identify discrepancies in POs and WOs to ensure quick resolution
  • Verify invoice approvals and match invoices to purchase orders
  • Code invoices accurately
  • Update and maintain the vendor database
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Ensure timely processing and paper flow of all purchasing documents on a weekly basis
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Support parts inventory, ordering, and recordkeeping as needed
  • Assist with farm parts pick-up
  • Conduct daily hazardous waste inspections in compliance with company policies

Required Skills & Experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of budgets and accounting practices
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle with a clean driving record



  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with Dossier software
  • Two-year degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • General knowledge of farm machinery, fleet vehicles, parts, and repairs




Reasoning Ability

Must be able to apply common sense and sound judgment in carrying out job duties, including handling unexpected situations with minimal supervision.




Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, and color vision
