We are hiring Filler Operators in Riverside, CA! Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator, preferably on a Filler machine, and in food manufacturing. Position Title: Filler Operator | Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Rate: $17.50 to $27.00 per hour | Reports to: Production Lead




Job Summary:

The Filler Operator s primary responsibility to is monitor product as it filles to ensure product

meets all specifications as required. The Filler Operator will be responsible for ensuring filling

meets temperature, fill height/weights and capper torques. Operator will ensure product is

running at correct speed on bottle sterilizer, filler, and bottle sterilizer into cooling tunnels.

Operator will verify cooling tunnel water is on and recirculating through evap. Towers. Utilize an

iPad to access RedZone. Update problem codes, downtime, shift start/finish, and speed through

RedZone. Verify chart recorders are recording proper temperature throughout day s run.




Essential Job Requirements:

Filler:
  • Monitor that fill height and weights meet product specification for each customer.
  • Ensure Pasteurizer speeds and pump speed to pasteurizers are set in accordance with RedZone. Monitor return pumps both diaphragm and centrifugal style pumps are set not to overflow or over foam product.
  • Monitor all conveyors in Filling area to ensure product makes its way into inverters, filler, cooling tunnel, labelers and packing side of line.
  • Constantly monitor outgoing filled bottles to ensure uniformity, proper capping torque, and fill weight/height in accordance with plant specifications.
  • Record Lot info/usage of caps put in capper hopper. Adhere to plant GMP s when adding caps to hopper.
  • Accurately record and document CIP s, count sheets and Circular charts.
  • Constantly monitor for foreign materials, GMP violations, and efficiencies.
  • Be cognizant for leaking or damaged product containers, bad seals or caps, and defective bottles.
  • May remove, discard, and record tallies of damaged or inadequate container materials.
  • Ensure Filler is clean, running efficiently utilizing RedZone, and free of any buildup that could cause micro issues or jam-ups.
  • Have a general understanding of the various pumps, meters, valves, and any other equipment used in the filling process.
  • Log run and down times, as well as reasons for any issues pertaining to filler utilizing RedZone. Notification to Line Lead and Supervisors necessary for persistent issues.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area around the filler area for food safety and associate safety.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices and housekeeping guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment and meet OSHA safety requirements.
  • Communicate to shift supervisor the reason when persistent issues cause filler to go down. Log into RedZone.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.




Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years experience as Machine Operator preferably on a Filler machine.
  • 3 years experience working in food manufacturing preferred.
