Full Steam Staffing is now hiring a Pre- weigher in Watsonville, CA




Pay Rate: $17/hr. | Shift: AM




SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Pre-Weigher is responsible for receiving all raw material to the Pre-Weigh department, transferring this material in the ERP system, weighing out raw materials for specific Production Work Orders as directed by the Production Manager, and delivering this raw material in an accurate and timely manner to the Compounding team, to help in the timely delivery of compound bulk to Production. Also responsible for receiving all left-over balance raw material from Compounding team, conducting regular cycle counts, returning to warehouse, and reconciling in the system. All transfers to and from the Pre-Weigh department to be done accurately and timely in the ERP system. The Pre-Weigher is also responsible with ensuring Pre-Weigh area is clean and arranged in the correct manner, and with assisting in the clean-up process of the Compounding department. The Pre-Weigher is responsible for embracing a team environment where cooperation and communication between other team members is vital in order to meet the goals of the Compounding & Production Department.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Maintain a healthful and safe environment and report any violations/discrepancies to appropriate personnel.

Reports any injuries, unsafe equipment, or safety violations to management.

Performs work to standard.

Maintains accurate records as required by SV Labs.

Understands and complies with quality systems and policies (GMP and SOPs).

Actively engages in learning Pre-Weigh and Compounding operations and is able to apply learnings to perform work to standard.

Actively engages in learning how to safely follow standard work procedures to maximize line efficiency and minimize scrap and material usage variance.

Demonstrates an active level of curiosity to learn critical drivers of waste.

Regularly arrives to work on time, returns timely from breaks, meets attendance guidelines.

Consistently arrives on time and prepared for team meetings.

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with others, contributes fair share of team s work, appropriately communicates status of work during shift transitions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pre-Weighs batch materials per the Work Order schedule and delivers to Compounding team.

Checks the quantity weighed, codes used, and the lot numbers of materials weighed, and verifies and enter in our ERP system.

Cut tops off of empty barrels when ready to discard.

Assists in the Cleaning of utensils, tools, pumps, hoses, mixers, kettles, tanks, and holding containers immediately after use. Must utilize available time assisting compounder with the cooking process of the batch to clean up as you go.

Wears personal protective equipment when required.

Checks the weights of all raw material so it matches with the ERP system, conducts regular cycle counts, and reconciles with ERP system.

Review compounding schedule every day for changes or updates on Work orders.

Request materials from the Warehouse at least 48 hours in advance and notifies Quality Department if there s materials in Q to be inspected and release.

Get Batch sheets from Quality Department

Follow Batch sheet to kit materials for Compounding Department.

allocate all the materials and stage in the designated area

Return all unused materials to the Warehouse with the appropriate labels, weights and do the transfers in Sage.

Any as requested.




AUTHORITY

This position reports to the Production Manager.

The position closely collaborates with the Compounding Team, Production Manager, and Warehouse team.




SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is not a managerial role and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.




CLASSIFICATION

This is a full-time non-exempt role.




EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE

3+ GMP workplace




OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to fill in forms.

Ability to make evaluative judgments.

Knowledge of quality control practices.

Must have basic mechanical abilities.

Must have basic math skills.

Must have basic computer skills
